Electric Power

Electricity for domestic use is supplied
through 110- and 220-volt lines. Installed capacity was 16,723
megawatts in 1987 and generation and transmission facilities are
being expanded to meet the increasing demand for industrial power
use. Through long-term electric power development programs,
installed capacity is now about 18,680 megawatts.
